Mozilla Thunderbird 0.6


The Mozilla group just shipped a new version of Thunderbird, their lean mean email client.

I use it as my primary client and am moving over from Outlook slowly. Take it for a test drive and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!

Its still in a pre 1.0 version stage so might not be for the faint at heart though the makers claim it is stable enough to be used as your primary email client.

    I gave Outlook 2003 & Thunderbird a try, but i still prefer OE6, especially if you want to use it only as an Email client.

    Plus, i didnt see an option of using thunderbird for Hotmail, whereas Outlook’03 allows Hotmail too.

    There are solutions to use Hotmail on Thunderbird. I personally use HotPopper with it.

    To tell you the truth, I’d rather not use Hotmail anymore and am actually reducing my usage of it. It sucks, has email size limitations, is slow, etc etc… :-)
