Gmail Tools

I just came across some tools that will make my using Gmail a much better experience. As if it wasn’t dabomb anyways!

  1. The first is Gtray. its a small utility that sits in my systray and alerts me if I have any new Gmail. A double click on it opens up the Gmail account in my favorite browser window!
  2. The second is a nice little program that forwards all my mail from any account to Gmail. It uses the mbox files that Thunderbird generates for me to do this. Its called GML (Eureka!!!) and is really really nifty!

Why would I want to forward all my mail to my Gmail account?
Well, because its a lot easier to search in Gmail for various items, the labels just rock!, the interface is fast as hell, blah, blah, blah!!!
