This snap was taken by Rupali just as this polar bear was about to come out of its shelter. It is one of the more majestic animals you can find at the Vilas Zoo in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Vilas Zoo features approximately 800 animals including bears, elephants, monkeys, birds and giraffes. Admission to the zoo is free and its proximity to Lake Wingra and the University of Wisconsin Arboretum provides an excellent day trip location.
It is not the most spectacular show but if you are in the Madison area for a few days, I would recommend you make a trip here.
